Howzak Boutique Hostel in Isfahan
Howzak Boutique Hostel in Isfahan is a small adobe house built more than 90 years ago in the historic neighborhood of Esfahan, a short distance away from the UNESCO-listed site Masjed-e Jame, the city’s magnificent Friday mosque. The young couple who restored the house – to be used as the hostel- Babak (a musician and engineer) and Nassim (a trained architect and conservationist), who welcome all their guests like family.

Howzak consists of five rooms (one double, one twin, one single, two triple -which are flexible to be booked per bed-), all laid around the green courtyard (where complimentary fresh breakfast is being served) and the small pond (Howz), the kitchen (where guests can also order homemade veggie Persian & Isfahani dishes) and two shared bathrooms. House is being designed to accommodate maximum 11 guests, which means the tranquility and coziness is one of the most respected quality in this hostel.
Apart from exploring the magnificent architecture of Esfahan, guests can also join the specially-designed Howzak activities that encourage them to meet and mingle with local artisans and residents. These include; The handicraft tour: a walking tour of the city’s handicraft workshops with a chance to create one’s own souvenirs; The music tour: an introduction to Persian music, with Babak himself, who takes guests to a musical instrument manufacturing workshop; The cycling tour around Esfahan at night to see all its sights and royal gardens turned public parks; The cooking class where guests are welcomed to choose their food from the menu and participate on the preparation and serving.
